About our church

Our story

Ngwerere Bread of Life Church began as a small gathering of believers meeting in homes around the Ngwerere area of Lusaka, drawn together by a shared hunger for the Word of God. What started as a handful of families praying and studying Scripture together has grown into a full congregation, still rooted in the same conviction: that Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life, and that a life built on His Word will never go hungry.

Today we gather every Sunday to worship, teach the Bible verse by verse, and pray for our community — while continuing to reach out to families across Ngwerere and the wider Lusaka area through devotions, discipleship, and practical care.

What we believe

We hold to the historic, evangelical Christian faith: one God in three persons, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the Bible as the inspired, authoritative Word of God for daily living. Our daily reading plan and sermons walk through Scripture systematically so that every member — new believer or lifelong Christian — grows deeper in the Word.

Our leadership

Our church is led by a team of pastors and elders committed to sound teaching, prayer, and shepherding the congregation with care. Pastoral and ministry leader details are shared during Sunday services and on our Ministries page.
